FXIFY vs ROMER
Short answer
FXIFY suits forex and CFD traders who run their own EA on MT5, approved in advance and at normal speeds, and want the fee back with the first payout. It bans HFT, counts several traders running one company's EA as herd trading, and doesn't permit EAs on futures. ROMER suits automated and high-frequency futures strategies run at the exchange.

What FXIFY sells
FXIFY is mainly a forex and CFD firm, and on 1 October 2026 its program pages listed one-, two- and three-phase challenges, a five-day Lightning challenge, instant funding and crypto accounts, traded on MT5, DXtrade or TradingView. The One Phase 50K costs $379 once. It has a 10% target, a 6% drawdown that trails your highest closed balance until you’re 6% up and then locks at the starting balance, and a 3% daily loss limit. “Performance split is 80% to the trader as standard. Or upgrade at the checkout for a 90% split in favour of the trader.” The fee comes back with your first payout. The Two Phase Standard 50K also costs $379, and the Three Phase 50K costs $249.
You can hold one account of each size (allocation). Funded accounts grow through a scaling plan: 25% more after three months with a 10% return and at least two profitable months, then double every three months on the same test, up to four times.
FXIFY Futures is run by a separate company, FXIFY Futures Limited in Dublin, and sells CME Group futures traded through Tradovate, TradingView or NinjaTrader. The Standard plan 50K costs $89 a month and a $125 activation fee after you pass; the Expert plan 50K costs $149 a month with no activation fee. “The standard account offers an 80% split and the expert account offers a 90% split by default.” Every trade has to be closed by 4:59 PM ET (evaluation process). Payouts come every 14 days and are tiered: the first pays out 60% of the profit above a buffer zone, rising to 100% by the fifth, and a 50K account can pay $5,000 in total before it goes to review (payout policy).
EA approval and the herd-trading rule
FXIFY allows EAs on its CFD challenges, with a gate in front. “The use of an Expert Advisor, an EA, is allowed on the 1, 2 and 3 Phase challenges and their respective funded stage upon review by our support team and pre-approval,” says its EA FAQ, followed by: “IMPORTANT NOTE: The use of an EA without pre-approval may potentially result in violation of Terms of Service and could lead to account suspension without eligibility to profits.” Its automated trading guide says traders “are permitted to use personal EAs and custom-built bots that reflect their strategy, but are not permitted to use copied or commercial products.” The home page advertises martingale and grid strategies as allowed.
A shared EA carries a second risk. FXIFY’s strategies FAQ lists herd trading among prohibited strategies and describes it as “Coordinated trading among multiple users to manipulate market actions, which undermines fair trading practices. This includes using the same EA from the same company as it would lead to coordinated trades.” If other FXIFY traders run the EA you bought, your trades can look coordinated with theirs. Copying trades between your own FXIFY accounts is allowed, but “copying from a third party is in violation of our terms and conditions” (copy trading); our copy trading comparison covers other firms.
Several FXIFY products don’t allow automation at all. The Instant FAQ says that “on Instant Funded accounts, the use of EA’s, bots and copy traders is prohibited”, and on Lightning “Traders must manually manage their trades” (Lightning FAQ). On DXtrade, “DXtrade does not support trading bots”, and FXIFY points EA users to MT5, “which is available for our non-US clients” (DXtrade FAQ). FXIFY Futures is closed to EAs too: “At this time, the use of Expert Advisors (EAs) is not permitted on FXIFY Futures trading platforms” (futures EA article).
HFT, latency and servers
The strategies FAQ defines the banned behaviour as “The use of advanced algorithms to execute a large number of trades in fractions of a second, leading to market manipulation and instability.” A blog post on prohibited strategies adds that “HFT is prohibited by FXIFY as it leads to market manipulation, unfair advantages, and can cause instability in the market,” and that latency arbitrageurs “take advantage of faster data feeds to place trades on our platform where prices have not yet been updated.” The general terms forbid you to “PERFORM TRADES USING AN EXTERNAL OR SLOW DATA FEED” or to use “ULTRA-HIGH SPEED, OR MASS DATA ENTRY” for an unfair advantage. FXIFY gives no minimum holding time for CFD trades.
The futures rules are tighter on short trades. “Micro scalping is an ultra-short-term trading strategy where trades are executed within seconds to under a minute, targeting small profits, typically less than 3 points,” and it’s prohibited (micro scalping). So is profiting from “the absence of slippage” in the simulator (prohibited strategies).
We found no FXIFY rule on VPS use. Its IP rules say “You are free to use different IPs and different devices,” while FXIFY looks into multiple accounts on one IP and multiple users on one computer ID. Its blog has a 2026 guide to setting up a trading VPS, which doesn’t state a rule either.
Demo or live? FXIFY’s pages differ
The CFD FAQ says “Once you pass the Assessment, we provide you with a live account.” The general terms describe “tools for SIMULATED foreign exchange trading on the FOREX market or SIMULATED trading with other instruments on other financial markets”, and say “the funds provided to you for demo trading are fictitious”. The How it works page tells Instant Funding buyers they can “directly access real capital”.
FXIFY Futures is consistent: after you pass, you “activate your simulated funded account” (next steps). Its funded account parameters say “There’s a payout cap on each account depending on the account size, after which accounts may be upgraded into real live trading accounts.” If the trading team doesn’t approve the move, the account closes, and a 30-day wait may apply before you can buy another evaluation. Our page on sim-funded and live-funded accounts explains the difference.
ROMER beside FXIFY
We publish this page and run ROMER, so treat this section as the view of an interested party. ROMER’s terms are planned.
ROMER has no forex or CFD program. It covers futures and digital-asset derivatives, so the fair comparison is with FXIFY Futures, and there the gap is wide. FXIFY Futures doesn’t permit EAs, and ROMER is built for automated trading: bots, algos and HFT are allowed from the first stage, and hand trading is permitted too. What we don’t allow is spoofing or other manipulative trading, and every algo works within the exchange’s message limits. Your algo runs on our hardware inside the exchange’s data centre (colocation), so you don’t need a VPS to keep it running.
Two simulated tests come before real money. The evaluation needs a 6% profit within a 4% trailing maximum loss and a 2% daily loss limit, over at least 3 trading days. Verification repeats that over at least 10 new trading days, so a pass can’t rest on one good run. The best algos then move to live trading with our own money on the real exchange, and the trader gets 80% of real profits. Funding isn’t promised to every algo that passes.
Pro, our $50K plan, is planned at $249 a month with no activation fee, more than FXIFY Futures charges for either of its 50K plans. The subscription includes running the algo on our hardware in the exchange’s data centre.
Which suits you
FXIFY suits a MetaTrader trader outside the US with an EA they wrote or had built for them, who is willing to submit it for approval and trades forex, gold or indices at ordinary speeds. The refund on the first payout and the scaling plan are its strongest points for that trader. FXIFY Futures suits someone who trades futures by hand.
ROMER is for automated futures and digital-asset strategies, which FXIFY Futures doesn’t allow, and for HFT, which neither side of FXIFY allows.
Quick answers
Do I need approval to use an EA at FXIFY?
Yes. EAs are allowed on the 1, 2 and 3 Phase challenges and their funded stage "upon review by our support team and pre-approval." FXIFY warns that using an EA without pre-approval "could lead to account suspension without eligibility to profits."
Can I use a commercial EA at FXIFY?
FXIFY's guide says traders may use personal EAs and custom bots "but are not permitted to use copied or commercial products." Its prohibited strategies also include coordinated trading, which covers "using the same EA from the same company" as other traders.
Does FXIFY allow HFT?
No. FXIFY lists HFT, "The use of advanced algorithms to execute a large number of trades in fractions of a second", among prohibited strategies, along with latency arbitrage. FXIFY Futures also bans micro scalping, meaning trades held from seconds to under a minute for small profits.
Is an FXIFY funded account live or demo?
FXIFY's pages disagree. Its FAQ says "Once you pass the Assessment, we provide you with a live account", while its terms describe "SIMULATED" trading with fictitious demo funds. FXIFY Futures calls its funded account simulated, with a review for real capital at the payout cap.
