*As listed on 27 September 2026. Apex Trader Funding and Lucid Trading blocked our automated check on 30 September, and we couldn’t read The5ers’ $50K price or Take Profit Trader’s monthly price from their pages that day. Take Profit Trader’s $99 reset was checked on 30 September. Lucid’s reset prices were shown with a coupon applied, so we left them out; its fees article says resets are bought from the trader dashboard and that there is no activation fee.

We rechecked Topstep, Tradeify, FTMO, Alpha Futures, FundedNext and MyFundedFutures on 30 September 2026, and their list prices matched, with one exception. MyFundedFutures’ Pro plan page showed a $227 list price that day, while its checkout data still listed $265. Prices at these firms change often.

How we worked out the figures

Our dataset holds 39 $50K US futures plans at 10 firms. We left out three plans that skip the evaluation and sell a funded account straight away (Alpha Futures Direct, LucidDirect and Tradeify Lightning Funded), and Apex’s Legacy plan, which Apex sold for a limited time. That leaves 35. Where a firm sells one plan in two set-ups, for example with or without a daily loss limit, we counted each set-up as a plan, which is why Lucid has nine of the 35.

All the firm prices on this page are list prices. A median is the middle price once the plans are sorted, so half cost less and half cost more. With 10 monthly plans there is no single middle one, and the median of $124 is the average of the fifth and sixth, $119 and $129.

Monthly or one-time billing

Alpha Futures, FTMO, Take Profit Trader and Topstep bill their evaluations monthly. You keep paying until you pass or cancel, so a slow pass costs more. At FTMO, “Your subscription remains active even if the Evaluation Account is breached”, and a breached account is replaced on the next billing date (FTMO). The other six firms charge once. Apex’s one-time evaluations ran for 30 days when we checked on 27 September, and MyFundedFutures sells its plans as a “One-time payment, no renewals”.

Topstep sells the same 50K Trading Combine both ways, and the difference is easy to work out. The Standard path costs $49 a month plus a $149 activation fee when you pass, and the No Activation Fee path costs $95 a month. By our arithmetic, a trader who passes in the first month pays $198 on the Standard path against $95. The no-activation path stays cheaper for anyone who passes within three months, and the Standard path is cheaper from the fourth month on. A trader who never passes never pays the activation fee at all.

Repeat attempts add up too. Tradeify says its traders “initiated a median of 3” evaluations or resets each between August 2025 and July 2026, and our page on pass rates sets out how many pass. Three Growth evaluations at Tradeify’s $145 list price would come to $435 by our arithmetic.

Activation and reset fees

An activation fee is a one-time charge when you pass and move to the funded account. On 27 September 2026, five of the 35 plans charged one: Topstep’s Standard path ($149, sold with and without a daily loss limit), Take Profit Trader ($130) and Apex’s two standard evaluations ($59 on Intraday Trail and $90 on EOD Trail). Topstep and Apex also sell versions without the fee at a higher price. Apex’s no-activation-fee evaluations listed at $799 and $1,190, against $249 and $590.

A reset restarts a failed evaluation without buying a new one. At Topstep a reset costs the same as the monthly fee, and at MyFundedFutures it costs the full list price. Take Profit Trader charges $99 for a 50K reset, and a reset “will not change the subscription renewal date” (help centre). Apex has no resets: “If an Evaluation fails, the only way to continue is by purchasing a new one,” its help centre said on 27 September 2026. We found no reset price for The5ers.
