# What are prop firm pass rates in 2026?

> Five futures prop firms publish their own figures. Topstep, Tradeify and MyFundedFutures report pass rates of 16.8% to 19.97%, Take Profit Trader 36.22% and Earn2Trade 8.89%, each counted differently. Far fewer reach real capital: 0.71% to 4.2% of funded traders at the first three firms moved to a live account.

## What the firms publish

Five futures prop firms put their own pass, payout or live rates on their websites, usually in the disclaimer at the foot of the home page. We copied each figure on 30 September 2026, along with the firm's own description of what it counts.

| Firm | Period | Passed the evaluation | Reached the funded stage | Funded traders paid | Moved to live capital |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| [Topstep](https://www.topstep.com/) | January–December 2025 | 16.8% of Trading Combines started | 51.8% of traders, on any attempt | 33.3% | 0.71% |
| [Tradeify](https://tradeify.co/) | August 2025–July 2026 | 17.2% of evaluation accounts started | 40.3% of traders, on any attempt | 28.5% | 3.0% |
| [MyFundedFutures](https://myfundedfutures.com/disclaimer) | Not stated | 19.97% of evaluation participants | About 19.95% of participants | 39.2% | 4.2% |
| [Take Profit Trader](https://takeprofittrader.com/) | 1 January–31 December 2025 | 36.22% of Trading Tests | Not published | Not published | Not published |
| [Earn2Trade](https://www.earn2trade.com/) | 2025 | 8.89% of candidates, counted by subscription | Not published | 18.04% of Live accounts and 18.20% of LiveSim accounts had at least one withdrawal | 5.23% of those who passed traded a Live account |

Tradeify says its figures cover its Growth, Advanced and Select evaluations and were "calculated as of 9 August 2026". Topstep's statistics "reflect performance in both a simulated trading environment and a live trading environment". MyFundedFutures, by contrast, notes that "All results occurred solely within a simulated environment".

We found no published rates on the websites of FTMO, FundedNext, The5ers, Alpha Futures or FundingPips. Apex Trader Funding, Lucid Trading and Breakout blocked our automated check, so we couldn't look at theirs. Review sites quote pass rates for some of these firms, but we couldn't trace those figures to the firms themselves, so we have left them out.

## What each number counts

A pass rate depends on what the firm divides by. Topstep's 16.8% counts Trading Combines, so every account a trader starts is in the total, including second and third tries. Its 51.8% counts people instead: the share of traders who passed at least one of their Combines. The gap between the two figures comes from repeat buying. Tradeify publishes the same pair, 17.2% of accounts and 40.3% of traders, and adds that participants, who "may purchase multiple evaluations and resets", "initiated a median of 3 each over the period". So the typical Tradeify trader started three evaluations or resets, and each one comes with [its own fee](/help/how-much-does-a-prop-firm-evaluation-cost).

The other firms use other bases. Take Profit Trader counts "all Trading Tests", and Earn2Trade's percentage "is based on subscriptions passed against new subscriptions". MyFundedFutures counts "evaluation participants" and gives no measurement period, so its 19.97% is hard to set against the rest.

The paid figure is the share of traders at the funded stage who received at least one payout. Topstep and Tradeify include traders on live accounts in that group, and Earn2Trade counts accounts where the others count people.

The live figure is the share of funded traders that a firm moved to an account trading its own capital. In Topstep's words, "0.71% of individual participants trading in an Express Funded Account were called up to a Live Funded Account." Earn2Trade's 5.23% has a different base, the candidates who passed, and the other 94.77% of them traded a LiveSim account, its simulated funded account.

Each percentage has its own base, and the periods differ from firm to firm. Multiplying them together won't give you a single chance of reaching live capital.

## Why so few traders reach live capital

At most of these firms, passing gets you a [simulated funded account](/help/sim-funded-vs-live-funded). Your trades never reach an exchange, and the firm pays payouts out of its own revenue. Moving a trader to a live account, where the firm's own money gets real fills, is a separate step, and at several firms the decision is the firm's alone. Take Profit Trader's [help centre](https://takeprofittraderhelp.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/15171929948829-Advantages-of-PRO) says "the decision to upgrade a trader to a PRO+ account is made solely at the discretion of Take Profit Trader." At MyFundedFutures, traders who meet its criteria "may, at our sole discretion, receive an invitation to access live capital trading through one of our affiliated companies".

Some plans name a trigger for live review, and several tie it to a run of payouts. On MyFundedFutures' Builder plan, "After your 5th approved sim payout, you are eligible for promotion to a live funded account" ([help centre](https://help.myfundedfutures.com/en/articles/14290805-builder-plan-50k-a-comprehensive-guide)). Its [Pro plan](https://myfundedfutures.com/plans/pro) reviews an account for live capital "After three consecutive sim payouts".

That puts payouts at the narrow end of the funnel. Only 28.5% to 39.2% of funded traders at Topstep, Tradeify and MyFundedFutures received even one payout, so at firms that tie live review to payouts, most funded traders never reach it.

## ROMER's stages

ROMER, our funded-trader program for algorithmic and high-frequency traders, has no pass, payout or live rates to publish. Stage 1 is a simulated evaluation of at least 3 trading days. Stage 2, Verification, checks that the Stage 1 result wasn't luck: your algo has to pass again over at least 10 new trading days, with fills still simulated. The best algos then trade our own capital on the real exchange, and the trader keeps 80% of real profits, though funding isn't guaranteed.

## Quick answers

**What is Topstep's pass rate?**
Topstep says 16.8% of all Trading Combines started from January to December 2025 were passed. Counted by person, 51.8% of traders who entered at least one Combine reached the funded level in at least one of them.

**What percentage of funded traders get a payout?**
By the firms' own figures, 33.3% at Topstep in 2025, 28.5% at Tradeify from August 2025 to July 2026 and 39.2% at MyFundedFutures received at least one payout.

**Does FTMO publish a pass rate?**
We didn't find one on the FTMO pages we checked on 30 September 2026, and we couldn't trace the pass rates quoted on review sites to FTMO itself.

**Is passing an evaluation the same as getting funded with real money?**
No. Passing usually leads to a simulated funded account. Moving to live capital is a separate step, which 0.71% of Topstep's, 3.0% of Tradeify's and 4.2% of MyFundedFutures' funded traders reached.

**Does ROMER publish pass rates?**
No. ROMER has no pass, payout or live rates to publish.
