## How MyFundedFutures works

MyFundedFutures, usually shortened to MFFU, sells evaluations for US futures. Its home page lists four plans, Builder, Rapid, Rapid EOD and Pro, under the line "One-time payment. No activation fee. No renewals." The [Rapid plan](https://myfundedfutures.com/plans/rapid), which MFFU marks as its most popular, was listed at $209 for a $50K account on 30 September 2026. To pass, you make $3,000 over at least two trading days without falling $2,000 below your highest end-of-day balance, and your best day can't be more than 50% of the profit.

Passing gets you a Sim Funded account, and MFFU is plain about what that is. Its disclosures say "All MFFU accounts operate in a simulated environment" and "All trades are executed on a demo basis and do not involve real capital." The payouts are real money, worked out from simulated profit. On Rapid you keep 90% and can request a payout every 24 hours once you've built the $2,100 buffer on a 50K account. Builder and Pro pay 80%, every 48 hours on Builder and every two weeks on Pro.

A few traders go on to a live brokerage account. On Rapid, [the move is automatic](https://help.myfundedfutures.com/en/articles/13134718-understanding-rapid-live) once you make $10,000 net profit in a single session, or it follows a review by the Risk Management Team, which has the final say. After that, you are "managing actual capital on behalf of My Funded Futures". Pro accounts are reviewed for live after three consecutive payouts, and Builder traders become eligible after their fifth approved sim payout. MFFU publishes how many get there: 19.97% of evaluation participants passed, and 4.2% of participants trading in a Simulated Funded Account "were promoted to a Live Funded Account" during its measurement period. Live traders pay their own data, commission and platform costs.

MFFU does a lot well. It says on its home page that it has paid traders more than $250 million, and its rules and pass rates are on the site for anyone to read before paying. It supports seven platforms, NinjaTrader and TradingView among them. Its rules exclude crypto and CFDs, and MyFunded Perpetuals, which offers crypto, is a separate company.

## Bots, HFT and servers at MyFundedFutures

The automation section of MFFU's [fair play rules](https://help.myfundedfutures.com/en/articles/8444599-fair-play-and-prohibited-trading-practices) starts with one sentence: "High-frequency Trading is not allowed on our plans." Bots in general are fine. Traders may run automated strategies "so long as these automated tools do not aim to exploit the favorable fills offered in the Simulated Environment."

Elsewhere on the page, MFFU writes that some strategies "exploit the simulated fill algorithm, performing well in the evaluation stage but inevitably resulting in losses when transitioned to live markets." It bans placing several limit orders at the same price "to manipulate order fills", along with "Exploiting the absence of slippage and utilizing tight brackets to gain from favorable fills". It gives no trade count or holding time that marks the line, so MFFU's own review decides what counts as HFT.

Live accounts work differently. There, traders using automation "must abide by CME guidelines", and the [live-account FAQ](https://help.myfundedfutures.com/en/articles/12109396-comprehensive-faq-live-accounts-at-myfunded-futures) allows microscalping, adding that "there are no limits to the maximum or minimum number of trades you can have per week or per day."

We found no VPS rule in MFFU's help centre or its terms on 30 September 2026. Your algo connects through one of the supported platforms, and the fair play rules say a trader "may not use the same device (tablet, phone or computer) as used by another trader."

## How ROMER differs

ROMER is our funded-trader program for algorithmic and high-frequency traders.

We allow bots, algos and HFT at every stage. We monitor every order, and manipulative trading such as spoofing, where someone places orders they mean to cancel in order to mislead other traders, isn't allowed. The exchange's message limits apply. Your algo runs on our hardware inside the [exchange's data centre](/help/prop-firm-with-colocated-servers), so you don't need a VPS or servers of your own. Our latency design target is under 1 microsecond, against roughly 30 milliseconds for a home connection to a simulator, and both figures are illustrative.

Stage 1 is a simulated evaluation lasting at least 3 trading days. In Stage 2, which we call Verification, fills are still simulated and your algo has to pass again. Passing a second time, over at least 10 trading days the first stage never saw, is how an algo shows its Stage 1 result wasn't luck. After that, the best algos trade our own capital on the real exchange, and the trader keeps 80% of real profits. Traders are independent contractors paid a share of profits, and funding isn't guaranteed. The difference from a [simulated funded account](/help/sim-funded-vs-live-funded) is that a funded algo's orders reach the market.

ROMER is built for futures and digital-asset derivatives. Our planned pricing, which may change, is $149 a month for Starter ($25K), $249 for Pro ($50K) and $399 for Elite ($100K), with no activation fee. The planned rules are a 6% profit target, a 4% trailing max loss and a 2% daily loss limit. MFFU charges once per evaluation. Our plans are billed monthly, and the fee covers running your algo on our hardware at the exchange.

## Which one fits your trading

MFFU makes sense if you trade CME futures by hand, or run a bot that holds positions for a while and doesn't depend on simulated fills. On Rapid the payouts come daily once you're funded.

If your edge depends on high-frequency trading, MFFU's rules don't allow it on its plans. By its own count, 4.2% of sim-funded traders reached a live account, where microscalping is permitted. That's the trader ROMER is built for: HFT is allowed at every stage, and a funded algo trades on the real exchange.

## Quick answers

**Does MyFundedFutures allow bots?**
Yes, with a condition. Its fair play rules allow automated strategies "so long as these automated tools do not aim to exploit the favorable fills offered in the Simulated Environment." On live accounts, automated trading must follow CME guidelines.

**Does MyFundedFutures allow HFT?**
No. Its rules say "High-frequency Trading is not allowed on our plans." On live accounts, its FAQ permits microscalping and sets no limit on the number of trades per day or week.

**Is a MyFundedFutures funded account real money?**
The Sim Funded account is simulated. MFFU says "All trades are executed on a demo basis and do not involve real capital", and pays real payouts based on simulated profit. By its own figures, 4.2% of participants trading in a Simulated Funded Account were promoted to a live account.

**Can I use a VPS with MyFundedFutures?**
We found no VPS rule in MFFU's help centre or terms on 30 September 2026. Its fair play rules say a trader may not use the same device as another trader. Ask MFFU's support before you rely on a VPS.
